Recognised Activities and Recognised Environments

The liability insurance arranged by British Gymnastics provides extremely wide cover and it is the intention that the policy protects clubs and coaches in respect of as many of their activities as possible.

In order to be able to do this it has been necessary for BG, with insurers, to specify the activities for which cover is provided and the environments in which these activities can safely take place. It is essential that activities take place in environments that are safe and controlled in order to protect the safety of gymnasts and prevent claims being made against BG clubs and coaches.

Please click here for full details of the activities and environments that are recognised by British Gymnastics.

BG Block Registration for Participants

Liability cover is now available for BG clubs in respect of activities that are provided to non-members, such as during open supervised sessions and termly programmes. This cover is also extended to include supervision of some non-gymnastic activity at summer and holiday camps, both for members and non-members.

Please note, participants advised to BG under the block registration scheme are not members and as such are not eligible for any membership benefits. They are provided with limited personal accident benefits, as detailed here.

To register your non-members with BG, please contact BG Membership team by email or call 0845 1297129.
